This video shows the entire process as well as any I’ve captured in a long time. Plus, it’s Dot who I love. She’s such a sweetheart and deadly on bobwhite. Aidan’s Banded Bobwhite | Oklahoma Quail Hunting
It’s been tough hunting this past week. This covey find by Ellie Mae and Maddie is fairly typical of what I’ve been seeing. The birds don’t leave much scent and move off the points when the dogs do find them making them extremely hard to get close to, and therefore, hard to get decent video. Despite the less than stellar dog/bird action in this video Aidan’s reaction to his banded/collared bird is pretty neat.
