Learning how to fly an airplane is awesome. Being a student pilot is demanding, but there are certain milestones that make all the hard work worth it. One of the major milestones in a pilots life is doing the first solo flights. Most pilots who do solos will still be very low time and will be still learning the basics, but flying general aviation solos is such an absolute thrill. If you are interested in aviation, do it! It’s awesome. Let’s fly!

Scapula winging refers to the abnormal protrusion or “winging” of the shoulder blade (scapula) away from the back. This condition typically occurs due to weakness or paralysis of the muscles that hold the scapula in place, particularly the serratus anterior muscle, which is responsible for stabilizing the scapula against the rib cage. When these muscles don’t function properly, the scapula may move outward, causing visible deformity.
Scapula winging can be caused by nerve injury, particularly to the long thoracic nerve, which innervates the serratus anterior. It can also result from muscular or neurological conditions, trauma, or surgery. Symptoms may include shoulder pain, difficulty lifting the arm, and limited shoulder mobility.
