My eldest daughter, Sauncy, took a walk with me and the dogs on 11/25/22 and Ellie Mae found this private land covey of wild bobwhite. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and the birds were loafing in the middle of a large plum thicket along a sandy draw. I got lucky and made a tough left to right crossing shot just above the top of the thicket although I showed my humanity by missing an easy straight-away single in the sage.
