My name is Kru Phil Nurse. I run a Muay Thai-style fighting gym in New York City called The Wat. We have some of the world champion fighters that trained at The Wat. If you want to find out more about The Wat, you can contact us at thewat.com. Today we’re gonna be talking about the UFC. Frankie Edgar, another one of my fighters, he currently owns the light, the lightweight title. Um, Frankie, very very good footwork. I think footwork is probably one of his keys to beating alot of his opponents. Um, very deceptive, very good footwork, base is wrestling. Boxing is getting very very good. Leg kicks, eh, you know just a good good all around fighter. I think alot of the fights he has had, alot of people have underestimated Frankie. And you know coming up the ranks people didn’t really take much notice, but hey, he won the title, he came forward. And now you know, everybody recognizes Frankie Edgar today. Frankies strength, um, as a fighter is his ability to be very deceptive and excellent footwork. You know if I had to explain it I would say, one minute he’s here then he’s not there. And then he’s there and not there either. And with that being said, using that with his wrestling ability, his boxing, this muay thai, and the jiu jitsu is a very very hard fighter to fight and hence he has the title today.

One of the common questions we get asked is, ‘Can any dog breed Canicross and are there some that are better than others’. Our answer is always yes, however we do find that there is one particular dog group that we know takes to the sport really well.

We are joined by Michelle Oseman, professional Gundog Trainer and expert handler. Having gained many Field and Trail Test awards running her spaniels in the shooting field, Michelle is now enjoying running with her dogs and Canicrossing. We are keen to learn more and understand how these two can work together.
