Ellie’s Sumac Covey | Oklahoma Quail Hunting

On opening day in November 2021 Ellie Mae found this nice covey of bobwhites in a patch of sumac after a rough day of hunting. This is the first bobwhite I took with my 28 ga. Beretta. Both the sumac and the sandhill plums were in full color that day shading the prairie in yellow, orange and red.

Jethro’s Mountain Man Covey | Oklahoma Quail Hunting

Mike’s pointer Jethro found this nice covey of wild bobwhite in February, 2022. Of the eleven coveys the dogs found that day we were really only able to shoot into four of them because the birds were so wild, as they had been all season. This covey flush was the best we had all day and I’m glad I was able to capture it despite my poor shooting. It’s hard to be to upset though when even Jeremiah Johnson missed also (Mike too).

This Britain organized a Chukar hunting master class – double limit!

In Chukar’s first hunting match, Annie (my Brittany) is absolutely unstoppable. Despite the high temperatures and challenging winds, Annie is able to find us plenty of birds and give us a masterclass in Chukar pointing! It felt so good to be back on the mountain with the dog, especially when we were lucky enough to get our double limit for opening day! The hats have arrived!!! Jacht – Hond staat (rooster hunting with pointing dogs)

This video is a good example of practice in which you practice with people you trust. Voor hen die de waarschuwingen mbt jacht nog niet waargenomen hebben: voor deze video wordt kijker discretie geadviseerd. In this video it is said that Wilde dieren bejaagd y geschoten.

Floating Feathers Covey | Oklahoma Quail Hunting

Dot found this large late season covey of bobwhite up on top of hill on my dad’s ranch in the Oklahoma Panhandle in January 2020. I took two on the rise and you can see the feathers from the first drifting past me as I shoot the second. Fun dog work from a promising young dog and not bad shooting either!

Before and After: Improving Timber Stands to Improve Deer and Wildlife Habitat (640)

Timber Stand Improvement is a great tool for improving wildlife habitat, resulting in more money, healthier deer, and better hunting. A well-thought-out plan for timber stand improvement can significantly improve habitat quality. It can also be a great way to improve the value of previously high-quality timber, as the TSI plan did in this video showing the forest before the TSI plan was implemented. In this video: Definition of TSI, How to implement TSI in different regions and forest types: cedar, hardwood, pine, etc., the difference between a plan that maximizes the value of timber versus wildlife, before and after forest improvement on a Missouri hunting property, better hunting can be had on a property with an open forest canopy. Fred Eichler’s Saskatchewan Black Bear Hunt

Fred Eichler’s Saskatchewan Black Bear Hunt Fred ventures into the remote forests of Saskatchewan, where he comes face to face with North America’s most unpredictable predator: the black bear. A rare tan bear makes its first appearance, but Fred waits patiently, waiting for a larger boar to arrive. Here, these bears are not afraid of humans. And that is both an advantage… and a risk. When a monster bear approaches, completely indifferent to Fred’s presence, he prepares for a close-range shot. After a thrilling pause, the bear returns… and Fred shoots a perfect arrow. One day later, a monster attacks. This is what hunting in the North is all about. #BlackBearHunt #SaskatchewanHunting #FredHunts #CinnamonBear #BowhuntingBears #PopeAndYoung #BearHunting #GroundHunt #CloseRangeHunting
