Bobwhite and Blue bobwhite flushing over pointing dogs | Oklahoma Quail Hunting



A collection of the best flushes I captured while hunting wild bobwhite in the 16-17 season. Increasing your video quality settings when viewing makes seeing the birds easier. My favorites are the huge covey at 0:13 and the feathers floating at 2:00 .

Training Gun Dogs Over Quail



Coy Moore breeds and trains excellent pointers at his facility near Yakima, WA. Coy introduces all his dogs to birds at the earliest age, using semi-wild pen raised rooster, chukar and bobwhite. Dogs quickly learn to hold point over fast flying game birds in a real hunting environment.

Pheasant Hunting with Pointing Dogs

Pheasant hunting with pointing dogs! We took a trip to Fox Ridge Game Farm in Wisconsin to hunt with our buddy Todd and his one year old English Setter “Hank”. Hank is a dog out of Northwoods Bird Dogs, and did a great job pointing roosters on this hunt. Although this was a great hunt, we went into this rooster hunt with the mind set that we were training with this pointing dog.

Wisconsin rooster hunting with pointing dogs is a ton of fun, and true to Wisconsin weather, we ended up hunting in a snowstorm and extreme winds. These conditions made scenting a bit tough for Hank, but he ended up putting the pieces together.

We hope you enjoy this rooster hunt with pointing dogs as much as we did!

Steady To Wing And Shot (Hunting Dog Training, Pointing Dog Training, Bird Dog Training)
