Bow Hunting Whitetails: Finally Got Him – The Split Brow Buck! (#206) @GrowingDeer.tv

Deer hunting with www.Growingdeer.tv: This week , the story of a Hit List buck that Grant has targeted for many years, Split Brow. He’s one of the oldest, one of the most reclusive and elusive bucks on the property. Even with all the hours the team has logged in the stand and working on the property, Split Brow was only seen once before this hunt. This ghost of a buck was known through Reconyx images and his shed antlers. The situation recently turned around when, with a change of hunting strategies, there he was: blind eye glowing, slipping through the woods toward Grant and AJ. Watch this episode to see how this emotional roller coaster of a hunt plays out!

Watch the complete video for the whole story! However, if you only want to watch the time in the stand and the kill shot go to mark 6:20 and view until 8:37.

Before and After: Improving Timber Stands to Improve Deer and Wildlife Habitat (640)

Timber Stand Improvement is a great tool for improving wildlife habitat, resulting in more money, healthier deer, and better hunting. A well-thought-out plan for timber stand improvement can significantly improve habitat quality. It can also be a great way to improve the value of previously high-quality timber, as the TSI plan did in this video showing the forest before the TSI plan was implemented. In this video: Definition of TSI, How to implement TSI in different regions and forest types: cedar, hardwood, pine, etc., the difference between a plan that maximizes the value of timber versus wildlife, before and after forest improvement on a Missouri hunting property, better hunting can be had on a property with an open forest canopy.
