Upperwood Estate Pheasant Shooting with Ian Harford

Upperwood Game Estate, which covers 5,000 acres in the Pennines and is famous for its super tall rooster, is home to some of Britain’s best sport birds. Breathtaking slopes, magnificent landscapes and spectacular typography offer an incredible day for everyone involved. Welcome to Great British Shooting on Team Wild TV. In the previous episode of Great British Shooting, Team Wild TV followed Ian Harford and Owen Beardsmore hunting roe deer at dawn – in windy and foggy conditions, the first drive provided challenging birds appearing from the clouds. Shooting into fog can be quite tricky, not only because the birds are difficult to spot but you also have to be careful with the background. The mountain in front is quite steep, there are beaters crossing and dogs working all the time. Not only do you have to choose the best birds to fly over, but you also have to make sure you take safe photographs. Familiar from shooting his AYA No1 Delux, Ian’s shotgun selection for this particular shoot is his Miroku MK60 with 32″ barrels, which Ian admits takes a bit of getting used to. Judging distance, range, progress and speed is difficult when visibility is limited. A challenging but very enjoyable start to the day. Martin Stretton “What an incredible end to an incredible day. THE RETURN | First bobwhite hunt, pointers are back in action (Georgia)!

This hunt was more than birds in the bag: it was THE RETURN. After two years out of the field due to neck and back surgery, I’m finally back to bobwhite hunting with bird dogs in Georgia. In this special collaboration with Catch & Cook, I took Tyler and Jace Walker on their FIRST bobwhite bird hunt at the South Fork Preserve in Royston, Georgia. What started as a first bobwhite hunt quickly turned into a powerful comeback story. This hunt marked: My first bird hunt after neck and back surgery in 2023 and 2024. KOA the Black Lab’s first bird hunt. KAPTAIN the GSP’s return to the field after 2 years. Quail, rooster and chukar hunting in Georgia. Duck Hunting Colorado – Western Zone Opener!
