I accidentally let 6,7 of our Johnny House quail out this day, and had turbo and his 2 yo son Huck with us for the first time. Huck is already a great hunter according to his first owner Brian, who had a change in location and no longer has a yard or kennel. So, he asked me to find him a great hunting home. He made this comment when I asked how far Huck had come, “he’s a great hunter and a 8 of 10 on retreiving too! This coming bird season will really only be his second, as I kept him from out of the Pearl Harbor litter born December 7th 2023. He has 4 national field trial champions and 2 national gundogs champions on both sides of his pedigree too!
We love pointers, especially German shorthaired pointers! Pointing dog rescue, training & rehoming!
It’s a shame to see birddogs in dog pounds, for no other reason than their owners didn’t know how to train them. This results in a hunting dog becoming a ‘pet’ and eventually ending up as a burden on a family that didn’t want another ‘pet’ but wanted a hunting partner!
