Pheasant Shooting at Llechweddygarth in Wales with Ian Harford

It’s a beautiful October day and we are in Llechweddygarth, Wales, rooster shooting with Ian Harford. Welcome to the Great British Shootout on Team Wild TV. Today, Ian is joined by Nathan Little, who has helped assemble a team of gunners for a fantastic day out in the British countryside. Llechweddygarth shooting has been around for over 100 years and is considered the jewel in the crown of rooster shooting in the UK, offering some of the best birds available. Martin Lott, who is now directing the shoot, has hired a team to help develop and grow the already popular location. The estate has some really challenging birds flying at a variety of different heights, including some stunning, incredible roosters. No matter what your level or ability, there is something for everyone at Llechweddygarth filming. Filming days like this are all about community. Joe and Penny’s Wild Bobwhite | Oklahoma Quail Hunting



Joe from Maryland brought his pretty little setter, Penny, down to see me this weekend. We had a cool day that started with a bit of frost on the prairie and our first covey about 100 yards from the truck. Later that same walk Joe’s Penny found this covey of bobwhite and Joe was able to score on two birds. Not bad for a mostly self-taught guy with relatively limited access to wild birds. Fun stuff.

Hunting partridge – slowly in the revolt | Partridge hunting with German pointered pointer



The dog plays partridge trail and I start recording, I imagine she is in the riot. I let the dog go in first and when I look out I see it in a sample among the gorse, it is not fixed and breaks the sample, it is touching hot, the way it is done tells me that the partridge will not take long to come out. The partridge starts from under the almond trees and I manage to knock it down. SUBSCRIBE ;)
