My eldest daughter brought home a stray Texan the weekend before Thanksgiving. I convinced him to spend a day afield with me chasing my bird dogs. He got to see dogs on point and coveys flushing. He also got to shoot his first bobwhite, both bobwhite and blue. This video shows him flushing a shooting his first bobwhite. It was a banded and collared bird on a private ranch which is participating with Texas Tech University in a multi-state bobwhite study. Fun stuff!
