Here is day 2 of our Colorado Pheasant and Chukar hunt. One of my friends organized a hunt in which 20 roosters and 8 chukars were released. First time trying this for all of us. On the first walk, half the birds are released, and we did not release a single bird. On the second pass we have some action. 0:00 Intro 0:21 Lazy Chukar 1:09 Pheasant 1:43 2 shots 1 Pheasant 2:08 Pheasant 2:33 Pheasant 2:45 Pheasant 3:23 Everyone was lost

New transportation option for deer hunters – NDGNF – 09-07-2021

Chronic wasting disease is a disease of cervids in North Dakota that infects the nervous system. Animals with CWD will appear normal for 18 to 20 months, but the disease is invariably fatal. Because CWD can be artificially spread through improper disposal of high-risk body parts, there are body transport restrictions in areas with known cases of CWD. Learn more in this week’s North Dakota Outdoors.

Sled dog mushing in Alaska | Iditarod Training | Whitney

Flashback to the summer of 2013. Whitney and her family went on a hike to a dog sledding camp near Skagway, Alaska. The dogs were amazing…smart, well trained and strong. Dogs and mushers spend the summer months dragging tourists along the trails so they will be in prime condition come winter and it’s time for the legendary Iditarod Trail sled dog race. Everyone had a great time even though it was raining. Blakely stayed home with Grandma during this trip, but we added Cousin Wyatt to the mix. From Wikipedia: The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is an annual long-distance sled dog race held in early March from Anchorage to Nome. Mushers and a team of 16 dogs, of which at least 6 must be at the finish line, cover the distance in 9 to 15 days or more.[1] The Iditarod began in 1973 as an event to test the best teams and dog sleds, but evolved into the highly competitive race of today. The current record for fastest winning time was set by Dallas Seavey in 2014 with a time of 8 days, 13 hours, 4 minutes and 19 seconds.
