I have loved bird dogs since I had an English Pointer when I was 9 or 10 years old in mid west Kansas where I grew up! I have especially loved German Shorthaired Pointers since I had several in the 90's. One was a NSTRA champion over 80 dogs in March of 2022. His name was Rawhide 'Blitz' Twist, a grand son of the infamous Rawhide Clown a HOF Legend with dozens of winning progeny. The first and only field trial I took him to, was an under 2 yr. old derby, Blitz was 14 month old, and took on 41 other dogs and in the finals, in a field with 6 birds planted each brace. He pointed 7 and he retreived to hand 6! The best score in the Ft Scott Birddog Club for the entire year! Would have been 7 n 7, but he stopped to point the 7th. bird with bird 6 in his mouth. He was a beautiful liver roan I'll remember forever!

Hunting partridge – slowly in the revolt | Partridge hunting with German pointered pointer



The dog plays partridge trail and I start recording, I imagine she is in the riot.
