On a breezy late season day in February, 2025 Lily found this covey of uncooperative wild bobwhite in a super thick patch of sandhill plum. As you can see in the video the thicket was noticeably deeper than I expected. I’m not a tall guy and I was almost swallowed up before I got across. The birds flushed wild when Lily relocated and cut off their escape route. They passed right over my head making for a neat video. Enjoy!
