Last Thursday 1/11/24 I enjoyed one of the best days of bobwhite hunting I’ve ever had. The blizzard had passed through that Monday night and the birds finally came out to feed in the afternoon sunshine. This find by Lilly was just one of many we had that afternoon. She nailed these wild, public-land bobwhites while they were spread out in some scattered ragweed sticking through the snow. This was the first time I”ve seen her tail droop but I attribute it to the cold and the fact that she was likely exhausted from working in that snow. See if you can pick out Aidan’s double in the slow motion segment.
